I’ve had Penny for about 2 years now. Before Penny, I had wanted a dog for years and when my husband finally gave in, Penny joined the family and he regretted all the fun he had been missing!
Because of my health problems, I couldn’t manage a big dog so we looked for a smaller breed and our cockapoo Penny, my first dog ever, ended up being perfect. She came home when she was 18 weeks and is a Mississauga girl.
I’m on disability because of back issues that progressively got worse overtime so Penny is such good company for me and I have been training her to be a therapy dog. Sometimes, I take her to Starbucks and she just sits on my lap, so it gets me out of the house. She forces me to get out instead of staying home watching TV.
Penny is such a friendly dog – hyper, but friendly – and she’s been great at her therapy dog training.
She knows many tricks and she’s very smart.
I tell my husband that without her under bite she would be too perfect for us!
