I was so excited to visit this new greenhouse I found in Navan.
Before you say it’s too far… It is WORTH it, trust me. I’ve never seen such a beautiful selection of plants. From olive trees, lemon trees, grapefruit trees, bonsais and succulents, they had it all. The music was so nice, the staff was friendly and… CHICKENS.
Chickens, guys.
Robert Plante Greenhouses is home to two of the cutest hens – Charlotte & Daisy.
As a former chicken owner myself, I loved seeing them there and I was not the only one. These chickens had their own paparazzi and clearly they were used to posing for the camera. Charlotte here practically needs to be paid for her time and skills.
Her friend Daisy never left her side and I could see they were very attached to their owner.
Did you know chickens are very sweet and loyal? I hatched my hens myself in an incubator when I was a child and they followed me EVERYWHERE. I really miss having hens (roosters, not so much… I had to arm myself with an umbrella).
After crawling around after the chickens to photograph them, I chose some plants to add to my collection, along with some soil and spray fertilizer I’ve been wanting to try.
I found my new favorite garden centre and will be returning again for sure.
I met these chickens for the first time on Saturday. They are too sweet.
Aren’t they?! They really make the place that much more special!
