First of all, can I just say how much I love their names?
I’m more of a DC girl but I love all superhero movies and this gorgeous duo was the perfect reflection of the 2 characters in the movies.
Gorgeous boy Thor was a handsome big goof and although he had his disagreements with little sister Loki (yes, Loki’s a girl!), he was always there to protect her and have her back.
Loki was… well, Loki.
A little smartie pants who was gone the second she heard a squirrel. And there were a LOT of squirrels. They both had amazing recall though, I was impressed!
Thor is a 5 year-old big white fluff and he’s a foster fail!
I have actually known their mom for a long time now. We met at Freedom Dog Rescue, a great Ottawa dog rescue I used to foster and volunteer for. If you’re looking to adopt a dog in Ottawa, they’re awesome!
Thor had a difficult start to life with heart worm, lyme disease and being shot. But look at him now! He’s a lucky boi to have landed such a great family.
Loki is now 10 months and was only 10 weeks when she was rescued as a stray in Jamaica. Her litter was captured after her mom was hit by a car and passed away. She then came to Canada and is living her life with big brother Thor!
Fun fact, I had a session before Thor & Loki and I was told one of the dogs was part of Loki’s litter! What a small world! They do look very much alike.
We had so much fun at the session and the dogs even got to swim! Their mom wanted some swimming photos done so we decided on this beautiful quiet location that I absolutely love.
